Six Gold Sponsors Confirmed for Scotland's Beef Event 2015
29th January 2015
Six Gold sponsors have been confirmed for Scotland’s Beef Event on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
This is the first major event to be organised by the Scottish Beef Association and will be held on the farm of Mains of Mause, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, courtesy of host farmers, Peter and Murray Alexander.
As previously announced, main sponsor of the event, which is expected to attract several thousand beef farmers from throughout Scotland and beyond, is Clydesdale Bank.
“Scotland’s Beef Event 2015 will be the major event for beef producers in Scotland this year and it is a measure of the importance of the event to the industry that we have six Gold sponsors among the many trade interests who are supporting the event as sponsors and trade stand exhibitors,” said Robert McNee, chairman of the organising committee.
The six companies confirmed as Gold sponsors are ABP, British Limousin Cattle Society, East Coast Viners, Harbro, Scotbeef and R M Welch and Son.
The theme of the event is Beef from the Hills and the day’s programme will feature an extensive trade stand area, practical demonstrations, stockjudging and seminars. A major attraction for visitors will be the opportunity to tour the farms and view the suckler herd of 1000 Limousin cross cows and the commercial sheep flock of 2000 Blackface and Mule ewes.
“Mains of Mause is a superb venue for Scotland’s Beef Event and visitors will see the production of beef from the hills at its very best from a top-class suckler herd,” said Mr McNee.
Closing date for trade stand application is MONDAY, MARCH 2.
